College football players who are tagged as “NFL-ready” typically possess a blend of elite physical traits, advanced football IQ and mental fortitude. Playing at the next level requires much more than raw athleticism; it takes the will and commitment necessary to dissect opposing stand game plans and the dedication to withstand a grueling on and off-field regimen.
Florida has several players with NFL potential entering the 2026 season, but two offensive playmakers rise above the rest. Running back Jadan Baugh leads the group after developing into a legitimate Heisman candidate. The junior rushed for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025 while hauling in 33 receptions for 210 yards and two scores.
Beyond the on-field production, Baugh’s combination of vision, size and his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield makes him one of the most well-rounded players on the roster. Most importantly for his status as an “NFL-ready” prospect are his pass-protection skills.
Wide receiver Eric Singleton transferred this offseason to Florida from Auburn, where he appeared in 12 games and tallied 58 catches for 534 yards and three touchdowns. The season was highlighted by his breakout performance against Vanderbilt. Singleton notched a career-high 11 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
The Douglasville, Georgia, native is another player scouts will monitor closely in 2026. His elite speed, route-running, and explosiveness in the open field will be intriguing for teams seeking value at the skill positions. Singleton’s combination of technique and 99th-percentile speed lifts him over other pro prospects on the Gators roster.
