No team put up a better fight against the Philadelphia Eagles last postseason than the Los Angeles Rams. They took the eventual Super Bowl champions down to the wire on the road, coming up 13 yards short of a potential game-winning touchdown.
That divisional round matchup was one of the best games of the year and with those two teams set to square off again in 2025, many were hoping for a rematch to kick off the new season.

The NFL has decided to go in a different direction for the Eagles’ season-opening game, however. On Monday, it was announced that the Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football in Week 1, the game that will open the 2025 campaign.

The Rams are still slated to face the Eagles on the road this season, but it remains to be seen when that game will be played. The Rams would probably prefer to play it earlier rather than later to avoid another potential snow game like the one they played in January.
The full 2025 schedule will be released on Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
