Officers found the suspect outside his home. Their investigation determined the man had placed guns around the house, and he told officers they were set inside the home for protection.

Police also found the gun pointed at the victim, which was loaded, and it and other guns were seized from the house.

The man was arrested and booked into Ventura County jail on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on bail April 19 and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court May 4, jail records show.
