Despite suffering a season-ending ACL injury in January, Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler is still finding ways to enjoy his offseason. Last week, Butler took a trip to San Diego to link with some members of the Colombian national team ahead of their World Cup opener against Uzbekistan. In addition to attending their friendly match against Jordan, Butler took a photo with six members of the team, most notably winger Luis Diaz, midfielder James Rodriguez and goalkeeper David Ospina. Butler and Rodriguez specifically have a documented friendship, with the duo supporting each other throughout their careers.
Although the tournament started nearly a week ago, Colombia will play their first match later today (7PM PT) due to the expanded format, which was implemented for the first time this year.
