International grocery chain Aldi has unveiled the Aldi Blind Box, giving shoppers the chance to claim one for free for a limited time.
The grocery store, with a large footprint in Southern California, will give away boxes filled with fan-favorite products, standout staples, and “fresh picks from across every aisle,” the grocer said in a news release.
When will Aldi’s free Blind Box be available?
A new Aldi Blind Box will be released each day from Monday, June 22, through Thursday, June 25.
How can I claim a Blind Box?
At 9 a.m. PST on each of the four days, shoppers can go to .aldiblindbox. com to claim that day’s free themed box. The boxes will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis, the company said in a news release, adding that more than 100 boxes will be given away per drop.
What is a Blind Box?
Inspired by unboxing trends in fashion, beauty, and collectibles, including toys, Aldi said the box will be packed with items from its grocery aisles. Shoppers will receive a box filled with Aldi products but will only know the box theme before opening it. The company described the effort as “a new way to turn everyday grocery shopping into something a little less predictable.”
“The ALDI Blind Box taps into the excitement our fans already feel walking our aisles,” Aldi’s Communications Director Bridget Kozlowski said in a news release. “Our shoppers come to ALDI for value, but they also come for discovery. From viral ALDI Finds to tried-and-true products shoppers love to tell their friends about, people love the thrill of discovering something new here.”

Currently, Aldi has around 109 stores in California, according to the company’s website. Most of the stores are in the Los Angeles area, with no stores north of Fresno.
