Classic Burgers restaurant is preparing to expand into the High Desert by hiring staff for its new store next to Town and Country Tire on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley.
After a lengthy remodel of the building, which formerly housed the Burgerlious restaurant, the new Classic Burgers will host a grand opening on Friday, Oct. 16.
In the meantime, Classic Burgers is hiring and accepting resumes via email at myclassicav@gmail.com, info@myclassicburgers.com, or at myclassicburgers.com.
Burgers, breakfast, dessert and cars shows
Classic Burgers is an Inyo/Kern-based restaurant, which serves burgers, sandwiches, burritos, chicken strips, fish and chips, fries, onion rings, salads, specialty coffee, breakfast items and more. The restaurant’s dessert menu offers shakes, malts, soft serve cones, banana splits, floats, sundaes, parfaits and more.
In 2025, Classic Burgers celebrated its 10th anniversary in Inyo/Kern, according to the Ridgecrest Daily Independent.
The Inyo/Kern Classic Burgers is also known for hosting its annual car show, with live music, vendors and raffles.
Proceeds from the annual event have raised thousands of dollars for the local animal shelter.
From Lotta Burger to Classic Burgers
In 1985, the Apple Valley restaurant building opened as West Coast Taco, which vacated a year later for the popular Lotta Burger No. 3, which had served the area since 1991, according to the Daily Press.
The building would then become a turnstile for restaurants, which included Los Roberto’s Mexican Food, Jessica’s Baja Grill, Rosa’s Mariscos & Mexican Food, Mary’s Mexican Grill, Las Palmeras Mexican and finally Burgerlicious.
Before 2020, the Burgerlicious property in Apple Valley began hosting a monthly “Car Cruise Night,” with hot rods and vintage vehicles.
Sometime around 2021, the nearly 2,270 square foot building, with a seating capacity of nearly 45, began sitting empty for some time until the owners of Classic Burgers took over.
