Trojans' toughest 2026 opponent will have fully loaded receiver room

Last season, the Indiana Hoosiers had two targets, Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr., who were picked in the first four rounds of the NFL draft. Charlie Becker proved to be a reliable weapon toward the end of last season, and incoming transfer Nick Marsh will be another playmaker … but that’s not all. There is another weapon for transfer quarterback Josh Hoover who is emerging in the offseason for Indiana.

In a recent article, Matt De Lima highlights a new potential target for the Indiana Hoosiers: Davion Chandler. Here is what he had to say about Chandler heading into this upcoming season: :

“Chandler arrived in Bloomington with one career catch that went 65 yards for a touchdown. Indiana’s coaching staff used him extensively at slot receiver during spring camp, a role that fits his quickness and mirrors what Omar Cooper Jr. produced before him.

Offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan appears to be grooming Chandler for that Cooper-style mold. A 29-yard dart from Josh Hoover to Chandler in the spring game drew significant attention. The sophomore is operating in one of the deepest receiver rooms in the country and may have the highest ceiling.”

The Hoosiers will have a full arsenal of weapons for quarterback Josh Hoover, and when USC faces them, it will be 3 different guys they will have to account for. If not, a player of Davion Chandler’s caliber could be the deciding factor of that game.
