Davante Adams has gotten the full “Puka Nacua experience” in his first season with the Los Angeles Rams. He’s learned that the young receiver is a ball of energy each and every day, while also being completely locked in all the time.
During an interview with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth on “Fitz & Whit”, Adams shared a little bit about what it’s like to be teammates with Nacua – and why he’s the perfect teammate to have.
“He’s the best rally man that I’ve ever seen,” Adams said. “For a person to have as much fun in life as he does, usually they’re not locked into their craft at the same clip. And Puka is a dude that absolutely lives and breathes, sweats, drinks football. Everything about him is football but he can also go out here and just be the greatest vibe that you’ve ever seen. Whether it’s going to get dinner, going out to have some drinks. Whatever it is, he’s my kind of guy. He’s the most excited person in the world when anybody else makes a play on the field.”
Adams even joked that Nacua has “handed out a few concussions to us after slapping some helmets” because he’s always so fired up and excited during games and practices. Sounds about right.
It’s impossible not to like Nacua and if there is anyone who doesn’t care for the Rams receiver, Adams wants nothing to do with them.
“I’m not a judgmental dude but if I found out that a person had an issue with Puka Nacua, that would tell me everything I need to know about him,” he said. “Like, I’m not trusting anything that you’ve got to say. I don’t want to hear a movie request. Nothing, bro. If you don’t like Puk, something’s wrong with you.”
Adams and Nacua are eight years apart in age, but Nacua is the type of player who can connect and be friends with anyone, no matter the age gap. He’s the ultimate competitor, but also the perfect teammate, too.
