Pairings day has arrived. Much time remains until May 25 when sectionals begin but today we get a clear picture of what the road to Bittinger Stadium looks like for teams across Southwestern Indiana.

In the Class 4A sectional being played at North, we have Reitz, Harrison, North and Castle. Castle won the sectional last year after defeating North in the championship, 9-4. The Knights are looking for their third consecutive sectional win.

For Class 3A sectional 31 being played at Southridge, it’s Gibson Southern, Princeton, Jasper, Southridge, Vincennes Lincoln and Washington. Jasper won the sectional last season.

Class 3A sectional 32 at Memorial features the Tigers, Boonville, Bosse, Central, Heritage Hills, Mt. Vernon and North Posey. Last season, this sectional was won by Memorial.

In the Class 2A sectional at Forest Park, the bracket consists of Mater Dei, Perry Central, South Spencer, Tecumseh, Tell City, Forest Park and Pike Central. Last season, Tecumseh won the sectional en route to its sixth state championship.

The Class 1A Sectional 62 at North Daviess features Barr-Reeve, North Daviess and Vincennes Rivet. And the Class 1A Sectional 64 at Springs Valley features Northeast Dubois and Wood Memorial who won the sectional last season.
