Highways and ramps are closed on Fort Washington Way in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday evening after a crash involving a semi.
Cincinnati Police Department responded to Fort Washington Way and East Second Street for the crash just after 6:50 p.m. May 3.
Interstate 71 north and south and US 50 in both directions are closed due to a fire according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
“The accident has required many directions of travel to be shutdown including Fort Washington Way, Columbia Parkway, I-71 S diverted to 471, and other exits,” according to Cincinnati police.
Heavy smoke was seen coming from the area at the time of the crash.
No information on other vehicles or injuries was provided.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
