Area high school softball teams discovered their tournament fate during the Central District and Southeast District tournament draw on Sunday, May 3.
Regardless of your team’s record, tournament time is always exciting because it gives teams new life and something to play for. The goal for every team is to make it to the state tournament.
There are seven divisions, and two area teams — Liberty Union (18-1) and Bloom-Carroll (17-3) — garnered No. 1 seeds.
Several of the divisions will have more than one district winner. The Division I and II tournament draws will be held on May 10.
