EVANSVILLE — Are you ready for postseason baseball?
The Indiana High School Athletic Association will announce the high school baseball sectional pairings starting at 7 p.m. on IHSAAtv.org. The state tournament is scheduled to begin the week of May 27 with specific dates and times determined by each host sectional school.
Like last year, the sectional round won’t start until after Memorial Day, rather than its traditional finish on the holiday.
Three teams from Southwestern Indiana reached Victory Field last spring. Could it happen again? The following are the defending sectional champions from the Evansville area: North (4A), Jasper (3A), Central (3A), Mater Dei (2A), Barr-Reeve (2A), Vincennes Rivet (1A) and Northeast Dubois (1A).
