A Chino man died at a hospital Tuesday, a week after he was struck and seriously injured by a pickup truck in Old Town Victorville, authorities said.
The man, whose identity was not yet released, died Dec. 30, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. He was described as a 45-year-old Chino resident. His identity was yet to be released.
The collision took place about 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at D Street and 6th Street, authorities said.
“It was determined the driver of a green Ford F-150 drove in the number two westbound lane of D Street and crashed into a pedestrian, west of 6th Street,” sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
The badly injured pedestrian was taken to a local hospital before ultimately being transferred to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he succumbed to his injuries a week later.
“The driver of the truck is cooperating with the investigation,” the statement said.
