A 19-year-old Victorville woman died after she was shot in a residential neighborhood on Sunday.
The killing was first reported just before 11:30 a.m. June 14 in the 12200 block of Osprey Lane, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department logs.
“Deputies were called to the location for a report of a shooting,” department spokeswoman Jenny Smith said. “Upon arrival, deputies and medical personnel located an adult female.”
The woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where she later died, sheriff’s officials said. Authorities identified her as Anysha Mott, 19, of Victorville.
“The suspect(s) fled the area in a vehicle prior to deputies arriving on scene,” according to a sheriff’s department statement.
Further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting were not available as the investigation remained in its early stages.
