“Big Brother” has been chaotic and pure cinema since last Thursday’s first live eviction episode of season 28 went off the air.
The start of what has unfolded inside the BB house since Ashley Trail’s unanimous 14-0 eviction will be shown to viewers during the episode on Sunday, July 19.
A new Head of Household. Plans to blow up one side of the house. A new large alliance. The first Time Capsule competition. And an explosive nomination ceremony.
Buckle up, BB fans. Week 2 will be old school “Big Brother” in the best way and why we love the reality TV show every summer.

Where to watch Big Brother live feeds
If you’re not watching the “Big Brother” live feeds, you’re missing everything truly going on in the BB house in real time.
This includes seeing the unedited version of the immediate post-nomination ceremony drama and all the ensuing fallout from Friday, July 17.
Live feeds are available to watch on Paramount+ and PlutoTV and for a select time after the episodes on the “Big Brother” YouTube page.
Who is the new HOH on Big Brother?
Rick Devens is the new Head of Household.
His victory will be shown at the beginning of Sunday’s episode. Devens follows up Dee Valladares’ first HOH reign, giving the two “Survivor” alums the power during the first two weeks of season 28.
Big Brother nominations
Devens nominates Jason, Melody and Lyric for eviction.
This came after Devens gathered his two separate alliances – The Red Corner and the Crossovers – to form an eight person alliance called “The Toolshed” that include Devens, Dee, Angela, Kamu, Barrett, Chuck, Haley and Drew.
And after a nomination ceremony in which the hierarchy of Rome’s group is exposed, Angela and Jason have a shouting match, backdoor target Rome fires off as well and LaTrice breaks down in tears.
Rome’s alliance is in shambles after he came to Devens overnight on who he wanted safe from his group. This gave Devens enough info to blow up Rome’s game and alliance.
It couldn’t have gone any better for Devens and Dee, the first two HOHs of the season who came into the game as two of three reality TV icons with what should have been the biggest targets on their backs.

Big Brother vote
The results of the first “Big Brother” fan vote will also be revealed to the houseguests during Sunday’s episode.
During the week, fans voted for who they wanted to enter the inaugural Time Capsule competition, a new pre-jury challenge this season that plays off the “Time Trip” theme. The winner gets a chance to play for a power or a punishment of BB past.
Angela Murray played the game. Unfortunately for her, she failed in the game and received a punishment.
And she now is wearing the oversized egg costume that BB 27 runner-up Vince Panaro first made famous last year.
The houseguests and fans online are getting a big chuckle out of Angela donning that costume.
Who wins the Power of Veto?
Devens holds all the power this week. Not only did he win the HOH but he also captured the golden power of veto two days later.
He’ll decide whether to keep his nominations the same or swap out one of his original nominees for someone else. It appears Rome will be going up. It’s just who will he take down. The candidates are either Melody or Lyric.
The POV competition was held on Saturday, July 18, and will be shown to viewers during Wednesday’s episode.
Big Brother season 28 showmance: Lyric and Rome
Is the “Big Brother” showmance of Rome and Lyric over just as fast as it started? Probably not.
Lyric gave her pitch to Devens in using the veto on her and pitches Rome. But it’s only to keep her safe instead of saving Melody. And if Rome goes up and wins the BB Block Buster both Rome and Lyric would be safe.
It was only two days into the competition that Lyric and Rome were kissing and not long after that they told each other they loved each other.
