OSHKOSH – Celebrities including Ian Somerhalder and Howie D of the Backstreet Boys helped Cirrus bring a pop-culture moment to the start of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026.
Ian Somerhalder, Howie D join Cirrus at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
In a Cirrus ambassador video released July 19, several celebrities shared their appreciation for flying and aviation.
New faces for Cirrus included F-16 fighter pilot Lt. Col. Dan Rooney; professional golfer Maverick McNealy; actress and social media star Sarah Daniels; actor Ian Somerhalder; singer Howie D of the Backstreet Boys; aviator Mike Goulian; aerobatic pilot Nigel Lamb; NFL quarterback Josh Dobbs; NBA coach Rick Carlisle; and actor Rob Riggle.
Near the end of the presentation, Howie D took the stage and led the crowd in a rendition of “I Want It That Way.”
More than 700,000 people expected at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
More than 10,000 planes and 700,000 people are expected in Oshkosh this week, ready to celebrate aviation.
