OSHKOSH – Burlington has an official start date.
The new Oshkosh branch of the national off-price retailer will open its doors May 15 at 1226 S. Koeller St. in the space previously vacated by fabrics store Joann between T.J. Maxx and Shopko Optical.
Burlington confirmed the date on its website while announcing the grand opening of 25 other stores across the U.S. this month.
According to a previous news release, the new location will feature the company’s “reimagined store design, which reflects Burlington’s broader strategy to modernize stores, making it easier for shoppers to find the brands they know and love.”
Burlington said these new stores will feature this refreshed format, including wider, more organized aisles and bold signage for easier navigation to the latest must-have trends.
Originally a coat retailer, Burlington has branched into a major department store, selling clothing, footwear, accessories and home goods typically at discounted prices from bigger retailers.
The company operates more than 1,000 branches nationwide, including stores in Grand Chute, Green Bay and Milwaukee.
Burlington is also set to open a store at 4045 Commonwealth Ave. in Eau Claire on the same day as the launch of its Oshkosh branch.
The new store openings come as Burlington looks to open more than 100 stores by year end.
