2025 Holiday Train in Wisconsin coming this week. Here's the schedule

Get ready, Wisconsin. The annual CPKC Holiday Train is just about to arrive.

From Tuesday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 11, it’s making 13 stops in the state.

Each year, the train brings holiday spirit, complete with colorful lights and live music. It’s free to see, and it’s lighted for its entire trip, so people can catch it as it passes through their community, even if it doesn’t stop there.

At each half-hour stop, the train’s car doors open for people to enjoy music from a live band. This year, alternative-indie band American Authors — perhaps best-known for the 2013 hit “Best Day of My Life” — and modern country artist Pynk Beard will perform during the Wisconsin stops.

But the train does more than just spread joy and cheer — it collects donations of food and money to support food banks at each stop. According to CPKC, the Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected around 5.4 million pounds of food since its start in 1999.
