Texas Tech is preparing for another run at the Women’s College World Series after falling to Texas in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the championship series in June. NiJaree Canady headlines a loaded group that’ll try to finish the job in 2026.

Joining Canady are fellow returners Mihyia Davis, Lauren Allred, Alana Johnson, Chloe Riassetto, Victoria Valdez, Samantha Lincoln, and Hailey Toney, along with role players Makayla Garcia and Logan Halleman.

Texas Tech also made major waves during the transfer portal cycle, adding NFCA All-Americans Jasmine Burns (Ohio State), Mia Williams (Florida) and Taylor Pannell (Tennessee) plus other key additions like Kaitlyn Terry (UCLA), Lagi Quiroga (Cal), Desirae Spearman (New Mexico State), Jackie Lis (Southern Illinois) and a new crop of freshmen.
