The SEC has all the momentum in the 2027 recruiting cycle with 10 teams from the conference ranked inside Rivals’ top 25.
While some programs are doing better than others in the conference, all 16 teams have made their respective splashes in recruiting some of the top athletes from the upcoming class. However, none have been able to top the job Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has done in College Station.
The Aggies hold the No. 1 spot in the 2027 recruiting rankings with 25 total commitments, including six five-stars. Elko’s group features offensive tackle Mark Matthews, safety Kamauri Dorsey and linebacker Kaden Henderson, all of whom are ranked as the top players at their positions.
Nothing is official until the pen meets the paper during the early signing period in December, but the SEC’s dominance in next year’s class has been undeniable.
