A series of road closures in Central El Paso will affect drivers for the next few months.
El Paso Water announced Tuesday, July 7, that it had begun construction on a water and wastewater line rehabilitation project on Rio Grande Avenue, Dallas Street and Williams Street.
The project is expected to be completed by November.
Due to the construction, the following road closures will be in place for at least the next four months:
“Detour signs will be clearly posted,” El Paso Water stated in a news release. “Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution in work zones to ensure the safety of work crews. Residential access will be maintained; street parking may be limited throughout the project.”
Wastewater services to the area are not expected to be impacted and customers will be notified in advance of any water services interruptions, which are expected to be minimal.
