Texas A&M ranked as one of most visible universities in the world

Texas A&M University has been recognized as one of the world’s most talked about, searched, visited, followed, and watched institutions.

According to American Caldwell’s Global University Visibility Rankings, Texas A&M ranks No. 6 in the world and No. 5 among all universities in the country for school notoriety. Since 2024, the Aggies have moved from No. 21 to No. 6 globally and No. 14 to No. 5 in the United States. Texas A&M also ranks No. 2 among public universities, which is a spot it has held for two consecutive years.

The Global University Visibility Rankings measure brand visibility over a year using third-party data. This includes news mentions, search activity, social media following and overall online footprint.

Per American Caldwell, Texas A&M’s dramatic increase to No. 6 in the world comes from increased visibility, after significant increases in news mentions and video views. The Aggies’ vice president and chief marketing and communications officer, Ethan Braden, says the continued spike in searches about the university provides an opportunity for more people to know what Texas A&M is all about.

“Texas A&M University’s increased visibility reflects more than institutional promotion. It reflects growing national and global interest in the Aggie story,” Braden said. “People are searching for Texas A&M, reading and watching our stories, visiting our channels and encountering our work in the news. That creates a larger opportunity, and a larger responsibility, to help people understand who we are, what we stand for, how we serve as a force for good and why Texas A&M matters to Texas, the nation and the world.”

Texas A&M University ranked second among all schools in the world with 108,707 total news mentions and sixth with 148,216,385 YouTube views. The Aggies are also the only representative from the Southeastern Conference to be ranked inside the top 20 in American Caldwell’s Global University Rankings.
