If you’re searching for summer fun — but don’t want to spend a lot of time in the air — the El Paso International Airport offers plenty of direct flights.
There is nonstop service to Texas cities, including Austin and Dallas, but you can also venture a bit further, such as to Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. While direct flights are often shorter, the airport reminds travelers that summer lines can be long, so it’s still important to arrive two hours ahead of your departure.

Tips for summer travel
The El Paso International Airport suggests arriving two hours ahead of your flight, having your REAL ID ready, and checking TSA guidelines while packing.
You can also book a spot in its Premium Reserved Lot, which features covered parking. This lot offers 185 dedicated parking spaces and is accessible only via the west entrance of the Short-Term Parking Lot. The rate for this lot is $20 per day, and reservations must be made at least one hour prior to arrival.
