Southwest Airlines is adding another direct flight option for travelers at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, this time to Houston.
The Lubbock airport recently announced the new addition. These flights will be offered daily between Lubbock and William P. Hobby Airport, 7800 Airport Blvd., in Houston. The first flight is expected to take off on March 5, 2026.
Southwest will also begin a direct flight to Salt Lake City, starting Nov. 9 of this year.
