Look: Texans QB C.J. Stroud looks shredded ahead of OTA practices

So, let’s just say C.J. Stroud heard the critics this offseason.

Now, the Houston Texans Pro Bowl quarterback looks poised for a breakout season ahead of what could be a prove-it year down off NRG Drive.

Months in the lab working on his body, mind and craft, Stroud shared photos on his Instagram story of his workout ahead of OTAs later on this month. In the photos, Stroud was seen lifting dumbbells while wearing a cut-off shirt, revealing a bit more of his new chest tattoo.

The internet couldn’t contain itself, commenting on Stroud’s toned physique and well-tuned body. It’s well documented that, while the former No. 2 overall pick has never been out of shape, fans have commented on the tone of his core and arms.

Does this mean Stroud, who currently owns a 3-3 record in the playoffs, will be ready to have an MVP season for the AFC South franchise? Not at all, but at least it looks like the Pro Bowler has put in the extra work to show his commitmenet to the craft.

Stroud, who is sent to begin his fourth season, will be front and center when the Texans start OTAs starting on May 27. He is expected to attend the event, which will be followed up by the team’s mandatory mini-camp starting on June 9.
