From a homemade studio in his East Side home to Hollywood, El Paso’s Bobby Fuller and the Bobby Fuller Four recorded music and hit it big with “I fought the Law,” released in October 1965.
The classic 1965 hit featured Bobby Fuller on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Randy Fuller on bass and backing vocals, Jim Reese on guitar and backing vocals, and DeWayne Quirico on drums.
Tragically, less than a year later, July 18, 1966, Bobby Fuller wase found dead in a car outside his Hollywood apartment. He was 23 years old.
