Latin Dance Night adds spice to the Grace Museum Courtyard for Hispanic Heritage Month

The Grace Museum previewed Hispanic Heritage Month Thursday with their annual Latin Dance Night in the courtyard.

About 40 or so people of varying ages enjoyed lively music provided by DJ Manteca, along with a photo booth from Pose by V. The Tacos el Patron food truck was parked nearby. To complete the event, Cypress Street Station provided a cash bar.

Dancing styles were as varied as the dancers performing them. Some went with an easy Mexican shuffle, others tried their hand…, err…, feet, at the cumbia. A few couples tried a bit of salsa while others sat back to enjoy the vibe.

Hispanic Heritage Month officially runs from Monday through Oct. 15. Look for other activities as the month progresses, including Dia de los Muertos activities as October arrives.
