The first event to take place at the new Highmark Stadium is in the history books.
The Buffalo Bills unveiled the team’s new home on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the venue. As of 10 a.m. on June 23, the Bills have a brand new stadium that is now open for business.
Speaking of that, what exactly are the next items on deck at the new Highmark Stadium in the coming months?
Here is a quick look at that upcoming schedule for Highmark Stadium:
Return of Blue and Red training camp practice (August 8)
The Bills will wrap their open to the public training camp schedule this summer with their annual practice back in Orchard Park after workouts in Rochester are wrapped up.
NFL preseason: Bills vs. Carolina Panthers (August 15)
The Bills host the Panthers in their first NFL exhibition game at Highmark Stadium.
NFL preseason: Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (August 27)
The Bills then wrap their preseason slate with another home game. The stadium staff will appreciate these test runs.
Home opener: Bills vs. Detroit Lions on “Thursday Night Football” (September 17)
And the most anticipated… the first official NFL game at the venue. It’s a Week 2 night contest for the Bills and Lions.
