All‑American catcher transfers to Texas A&M softball

Texas A&M softball continues to make meaningful progress in the transfer portal, entering the week with the No. 4‑ranked transfer class and several targets still weighing their options. On Tuesday, one of those priorities became official.

Former Arkansas Razorback Kennedy Miller has signed with Texas A&M, choosing College Station as the next and most fitting chapter of her softball career. For Miller, it’s more than a transfer. It’s a homecoming. She’s been wearing Maroon & White since childhood, and now she’ll do it on the field she grew up dreaming about.

Miller exploded onto the SEC scene as a freshman, earning All‑American honors after hitting .331 with 45 hits, five doubles, eight home runs, and 36 RBI. Her sophomore season brought a slight dip in production, but she stabilized in year three, posting a .286/.754/.411 slash line with 32 hits, five doubles, three home runs, and 27 RBI. Beyond her bat, she brings something invaluable: Women’s College World Series experience and a .989 fielding percentage behind the plate.

With Miller on board, Texas A&M’s transfer class continues to take shape as one of the strongest of the Ford era. She adds veteran leadership, postseason experience, and proven SEC production to a roster that needs exactly that. As the Aggies look to build on back‑to‑back regional appearances, Miller’s arrival is another sign that Trisha Ford is assembling a group capable of taking the next step.
