A five-star running back recruit who is considering playing for Ohio State football will be announcing his commitment on July 22.
David Gabriel Georges, the No. 2 running back in the 2022 class, will be sharing his future plans during a live stream this upcoming week. The rising senior and Chattanooga resident will be deciding between Ohio State, Tennessee and Mississippi. The No. 1 running back in the class, Keamon Spell, has already committed to Georgia.
The last Ohio State running back to commit as a projected five-star recruit was TreVeyon Henderson back in 2021.

Who is running back David Gabriel Georges?
According to composite rankings from 247Sports, Gabriel Georges is the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 running back in the class of 2027. He grew up in Canada before moving to the U.S. two years ago to attend a boarding school in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
In his two seasons at the Baylor School, Gabriel Georges emerged as one of the nation’s top rushers, producing consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.
As a junior last fall, he ran for 1,756 yards and 27 touchdowns, averaging almost 11 yards per carry as he helped the Red Raiders capture Tennessee’s Division II-AAA championship and finish unbeaten for the first time since 1973. He was named as the national player of the year by MaxPreps, the first since quarterback JT Daniels in 2017 to receive the recognition before their senior year.
