Golden State wins tiebreaker, advances to NBA Summer League semifinals

Thanks to a 10-point victory Thursday night against the New York Knicks, the Golden State Warriors finished their first four summer league games with a 3-1 record and a point differential of +6.3, which was just enough to earn them the final spot in the 2026 NBA Summer League semifinals.

Yaxel Lendeborg and the Warriors will face off against the only team to go undefeated in their first four games, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by Cameron Carr. Although some mock drafts had Carr as high as No. 15 overall, the former Baylor Bear fell down to the No. 24 overall selection. Golden State had been linked to Carr throughout the draft process and could have been in play to land the athletic guard had they traded down. Either way, they’ll now get a close-up look at him and Lendeborg against one another as they fight for a spot in the 2026 NBA Summer League Final.
