Weather plays havoc with softball, baseball tournament games

An all-day soaker on Friday, May 22, followed by uncertain weather the next day has caused havoc with the softball district finals and the baseball tournament openers.

This is what we know right now in terms of rescheduling of games.

Softball

The Division VI district championship between Cardington and Danville has been moved to Saturday, May 23, at 8 p.m. at Berne Union.

River Valley and Buckeye Valley will meet Sunday, May 24, at 2 p.m. in Marysville for the Division IV district championship.

Baseball

The Division IV opener with Pleasant at Highland was called off for Saturday, May 23, but a makeup date and time have yet to be set.

In the same bracket, River Valley at Johnstown has been moved to Sunday, May 24, at 2 p.m.

In Division V, Elgin will play at Fredericktown Sunday, May 24, at 2 p.m.

Ridgedale will host Danville Sunday, May 24, at 4 p.m. in a Division VII game.
