Officials have identified the man who died after a shooting near a Cincinnati Park overnight.
At about midnight June 9, first responders found 40-year-old Aaron Rosemond suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Yarmouth Avenue near Bond Hill Park.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
An investigator from the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office arrived about 90 minutes later.
No arrests have been made, police confirm.
There is an ongoing homicide investigation into Rosemond’s death. Police ask anyone with information to call 513-352-3542.
This comes after multiple people were hurt in Cincinnati shootings over the weekend, on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6.
Last year from Jan. 1 to July 8, there were 113 people shot in the city. That means shootings are down about 17%. 2025 saw a historically low number of shootings.
