Tyrone Noling, 54, is scheduled for an Aug. 18 clemency hearing before the Ohio Parole Board, according to a July 8 media release issued by Noling’s attorney Brian Howe. The hearing followed Noling filing an application for a total pardon with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Noling has long denied involvement in the shooting deaths of Bearnhardt and Cora Hartig, both 80, in their Atwater Township home in April 1990.

He is also seeking a new trial and has been receiving assistance for years from the Ohio Innocence Project at the University of Cincinnati School of Law.
