CHILLICOTHE — Two unidentified individuals have been found deceased after an apparent domestic incident, according to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 6, shortly before 9 p.m., the Ross County Sheriff’s Office received a request to do a welfare check on a woman who resided in the 100 block of Waugh Road.

When deputies arrived, they failed to make contact with anyone at the residence, and an investigation was started.

According to the release, a search warrant was obtained on July 7, and two bodies were found; neither individual has been identified at this time.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office helped at the scene to process evidence and the bodies of the deceased are in the custody of the Ross County Coroner.

The evidence currently shows that this was a domestic-related incident between the deceased, and there is not a threat to the community, the release states.

The investigation is ongoing.
