PIKE TWP. ‒ A 55-year-old man died after being trapped under an overturned riding mower near East Sparta.
Rusty Hines was pronounced dead at 6:04 p.m. June 20, said Tamara “Tammy” Wilkes, death investigator at the Stark County Coroner’s Office.
Tri-Division Ambulance and the East Sparta Fire Department were called to the 6000 block of Breezehill Road SW north around 5:54 p.m.
The scene was turned over to Stark County Sheriff’s Office, the Coroner’s Office and the Canton Metro Crash Team.
Hines lived on the property were the incident occurred.
