Worker killed by dump truck in Upper Arlington construction zone

A worker died after a dump truck backed over him in an Upper Arlington construction zone, according to a crash report.

The crash happened at 10:22 a.m. June 19 in the construction zone on Kenny Road near Millcreek Lane. Kevin Teacher, 40, tripped on an unknown object or uneven surface and landed on the ground behind the truck, according to the crash report.

The driver of the truck, unaware Teacher was behind it, continued backing up and hit Teacher with the wheels.

Medics transported Teacher to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he died.

Charges have not been filed against the truck’s driver.
