At least one person is dead following a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on June 22 on Columbus’ Southeast Side.
The crash occurred at around 2:40 p.m. just outside the Turkey Hill convenience store at 2731 Refugee Road, according to Columbus Division of Fire spokesperson Lt. Nick Davis. The crash involved a dump truck and another vehicle, Davis said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45 p.m., Davis said. He could not confirm if the person who died was the driver of the other vehicle or the dump truck.
Columbus police have temporarily closed down the intersection of Refugee Road and Winchester Pike while they investigate the fatal crash.
