Police ID NKY woman killed in July 3 crash on I-71/75

Kenton County police have released more details about a deadly July 3 crash on Interstate 71/75 near Villa Hills.

Police said Stacy Wick, 47, of Verona, was driving southbound on I-71/75 when she went onto the right-side emergency shoulder and struck a tractor trailer parked there.

The semi, driven by a 28-year-old Florida man and operated by AG Expedited Inc., was stationary and out of the travel lanes after experiencing mechanical issues.

Wick was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the front seat of her vehicle was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police said she is listed in stable condition.

Kenton County police were assisted at the scene by the Villa Hills Police Department, Independence Police Department, Erlanger Police Department, Fort Mitchell Police Department, Villa Hills-Crescent Springs Fire Department, and the Kenton County Coroner.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
