A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a crash in Fairfield County.
At 9:09 p.m. March 12 in Greenfield Township, a Chevrolet Sonic was westbound on Pleasantville Road, and a Toyota 4-Runner was eastbound, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The two vehicles collided head on, the highway patrol said. The driver of the Chevrolet, Seth Peele, 33, of Lancaster, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, a 66-year-old Buckeye Lake woman, was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in downtown Columbus by helicopter for “serious injuries.”
The highway patrol did not say how the vehicles crashed or which driver was at fault. The crash is under investigation.
