Ohio State ended up with 11 selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, reaching double-digit picks for the second straight year.
But those are not its only players who will have a chance to make a roster this year.
Other Buckeyes signed with teams as undrafted free agents and are to participate in rookie minicamps as part of offseason programs.
Last year’s group of undrafted free agents included right tackle Josh Fryar, who made the Arizona Cardinals’ 53-man roster despite falling out of the seven rounds.
See below where Ohio State’s undrafted free agents are landing.
CJ Donaldson Jr., running back
Donaldson signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints, joining Ohio State safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. who was taken by them in the fifth round.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound running back was featured in a short-yardage role in his lone season with the Buckeyes and finished with 96 carries for 361 yards and 10 touchdowns. He spent his first three years at West Virginia before transferring to Ohio State.
Tywone Malone Jr., defensive tackle
Malone followed Donaldson in signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent.
He spent three years at Ohio State after transferring from Mississippi and emerged as a starting defensive tackle for the Buckeyes last fall. He made 26 tackles and broke up two passes in 2025.
