Cincinnati Reds prospect Héctor Rodríguez hit three home runs in a game for the Triple-A Louisville Bats in a 10-5 win May 27 against the St. Paul Saints.
Rodríguez, who ranks fifth among MLB Pipeline’s top Reds prospects, hit an inside-the-park homer in the first inning. He added a solo shot in the sixth inning and hit his 10th home run of the season in the seventh inning.
The 22-year-old Rodríguez added a single, and his fourth hit raised his batting average this season to .284 and his OPS to .836. He walked with the bases loaded in the eighth, his fourth RBI of the game.
The Bats’ Noelvi Marte and Michael Toglia added home runs in the sixth inning.
Rodríguez and pitcher José Acuña came to the Reds in a 2022 trade that sent outfielder Tyler Naquin and minor league pitcher Phillip Diehl to the New York Mets.
