CANTON ‒ A child on a scooter was hit by a vehicle in on July 21.
According to the Canton Police Department, the juvenile was riding an electric scooter south on Rosemont Court NW and failed to yield entering an intersection.
The child’s age was not immediately available.
The child was struck by a 2006 Pontiac G6 going west on Seventh Street NW. Officials responded at 5:08 p.m.
The juvenile sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Pontiac was not injured.
The Canton Metro Crash Team responded and is investigating. Officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor for the driver.
