For the first time in 20 years, the Marion area was represented at the OHSAA baseball state tournament as Northmor made the trip to Akron’s 7 17 Credit Union Park.
Highland nearly joined the Golden Knights, losing in the regional finals in extra innings. Highland also won its eighth straight league championship.
Ridgedale won its first conference crown in baseball since 1997.
So a lot was happening on the area’s ballfields this spring.
