EAST SPARTA – A motorcyclist was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Battlesburg Road the night of July 8, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Donald W. Baughman, 36, was traveling eastbound on a 2016 Harley Davidson at 8:34 p.m. when he traveled off the right side of the road at a curve west of Maplehurst Avenue and struck a tree, the patrol said.
Baughman, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County coroner. The crash remains under investigation.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Coroner’s Office, Tri-Division EMS and Luthi’s Towing.
