Stretch of Route 9W in Orangetown to close to traffic. See when

Another closure is slated this week on Route 9W through a stretch of Orangetown.

Roadwork will close off northbound and southbound lanes during much of the day on June 9 and June 10, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The closure will be in both directions from the 9W intersection with Hickey Street in Piermont to Shadyside Avenue in Upper Grandview.

It’s about a 3-mile stretch.

Detours will be posted.

DOT, which is in charge of the work on the state roadway, said the closures are necessary to facilitate maintenance activities. The closures are weather permitting.
