Who's Baseball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital?

With only two local teams left playing, Tuckahoe and Iona Prep, this will be the final lohud Baseball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, for 2026.

Last week, with seven athletes nominated by their coaches, voters chose Pleasantville senior catcher Jack Van Sise after a week in which he caught 29 innings, hit .333, drove in three runs and threw out four of seven runners who attempted to steal on him.

This week, coaches have nominated four players, whose accomplishments are noted below.

The poll will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday with the winner announced on lohudsports social media.

Connor Brice, Tuckahoe

The senior righty was virtually untouchable, allowing just two hits and striking out 14 as the Tigers beat Port Jefferson 2-0 in a state Class C regional final to advance to the state semifinals.

Ryan Hogan, Iona Prep

The senior left fielder went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three more driven in as the Gaels defeated Stepinac 12-7 in the deciding game of the CHSAA Intersectional Tournament Championship. In the previous game of the championship, he also tripled, scored and drove in a run in a 5-3 win over Stepinac. He also went 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Iona Prep’s beat Xaverian to reach the final. Earlier last week, in a 7-4 win over Archbishop Molloy, Hogan had a hit, walk and drove in three runs.

Aiden LaSalle, Stepinac

The senior catcher went 4-for-6 during Stepinac’s last two games in the CHSAA Intersectional Tournament Championship vs. Iona Prep. La Salle closed his Crusader career by doubling twice, walking twice and driving in a run over those games.

Dylan Senior, Mamaroneck

The senior right fielder drove in three of the Tigers’ five runs as Senior’s high school baseball career and Mamaroneck’s season ended in an 8-5 loss to Monroe-Woodbury in the state regional Class AAA final. Senior, who had one 13-pitch at-bat, drove in two of the runs he plated on a two-out, two-strike pitch.
