At about 12:40 p.m. Thursday, the state and Lewisboro police were sent to 27 Old Shop Road for a reported structure fire with possible entrapment. State police were told two people were in the home.

Three other were able to leave the home and were taken to a medical facility for evaluation.

The three-alarm fire drew emergency responders from the region.

Tony Gonçalves, Lewisboro town supervisor, said on Facebook Thursday that “a local family was impacted by this fire so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

Gonçalves described the road where the fire occurred as in the town’s Cross River hamlet.

The investigation into the fire’s cause and origin continues.
