Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb offered a lighthearted yet pointed reply to New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh following the latter’s fiery comments about the upcoming season.
During a town hall event in Manhattan, Harbaugh downplayed the Cowboys’ recent dominance in the NFC East, stating he “couldn’t care less” about past results from the previous decade. He stressed focusing on daily practices to build a team capable of physically overpowering Dallas in their Week 1 matchup.
“I’m going to be nice and politically correct,” Harbaugh said. “I [couldn’t] care less about what happened last year or the year before that or 10 years before that. Honestly, I don’t give a crap about any of it. Not one bit.
“All I care about is tomorrow’s practice. Because if tomorrow’s practice is the way it’s supposed to be, that’ll be one more step in the direction of being a good enough football team to kick the Cowboys’ [expletive].”
Lamb responded via social media with a concise dismissal, posting “lol that’s cute” alongside the clip of Harbaugh’s remarks.
The star receiver’s reaction underscores the confidence within the Cowboys organization, which has won 16 of the last 20 meetings against the Giants. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been particularly effective, securing 13 victories in his last 14 starts versus New York.
The teams will open the 2026 season on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium. While the Giants have added talent such as quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Malik Nabers in recent years, the Cowboys are early favorites.
