Casa Amor starts tonight on 'Love Island USA': What fans can expect

The highly anticipated biggest twist of Season 8’s ‘Love Island USA’ starts tonight, Sunday, June 21.

Casa Amor is back and is expected to be bigger than ever, as Peacock is bringing it to the big screen for the first time in ‘Love Island USA’ history.

On Monday, June 22, 28 select movie theaters across the country, including three in New York, will air the 90-minute Casa Amor episode. But the twist doesn’t start there.

While we will most likely have to wait until Monday to meet all of the new Casa Amor “bombshells,” ‘Love Island USA’ announced that the Casa Amor drama will start during tonight’s episode.

Here is everything you need to know about Casa Amor and how to watch tonight’s episode.

Will there be a new ‘Love Island USA’ episode tonight?

Yes, a new ‘Love Island USA’ episode, featuring the start of Casa Amor week, will air tonight, Sunday, June 21, at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.

What is Casa Amor?

Casa Amor is a long-standing tradition in the ‘Love Island’ franchise, where the couples are put up against their biggest test of the season.

For one week, all couples are split up, with the girls and boys separated into two different villas. Here’s the twist: the two groups are not alone in the villas.

A group of new boy “bombshells” move into the girls’ villa, while a group of new girl “bombshells” move in with the boys. Throughout that week, challenges are played, relationships are tested and new connections are formed.

At the end of Casa Amor, each islander has to decide whether they want to stay with their original couple or recouple with one of the new “bombshells.”

The Season 7 girls were brought to the Casa Amor villa, while the guys stayed in the original villa. Typically, who goes and who stays alternates every year, meaning the Season 8 boys will most likely be the ones sent to the Casa Amor villa this year, while the girls meet their new group of “bombshells” in the original villa.

“While some Islanders find the time apart a blessing to explore a new romance, others may stress that every second away could threaten their original connection,” Peacock wrote in its online blog.

How will Casa Amor be introduced in tonight’s episode?

While Peacock announced that Casa Amor starts tonight, Sunday, June 21, we will probably wait until Monday’s episode to see the islanders meet the new “bombshells.”

Last season, we saw the islanders receive the Casa Amor text in the final few minutes of the episode, and we had to wait until the following episode to see the girls enter the new villa and meet all the “bombshells.”

If Season 8 plays out like that, we will most likely see the boys get a text that they are leaving the villa for Casa Amor at the end of tonight’s episode. Monday night’s episode, which will air in theaters, will probably debut the first full episode of Casa Amor, where we will see how the twist unfolds.

That being said, ‘Love Island USA’ loves a good twist, so we should expect the unexpected!

Which NY movie theaters are participating in the Casa Amor screening?

Here are the three New York City theaters participating in the ‘Love Island USA’ special screening:

Will the first Casa Amor episode still air on Peacock?

Yes, those who can’t make it to the theater can still watch the premiere episode of Casa Amor at home on Peacock on Monday, June 22, at 9 p.m. ET.
